The Be Blondes’ Guide to the Perfect Morning Routine

Every Southern girl knows the importance of starting the day on the right foot. Doing so begins with a quality morning routine!

The perfect morning routine begins with water! While we brew our favorite coffee, we make sure to get a head start on our water intake. Did you know that drinking water first thing in the morning boosts your metabolism for the day? After the coffee we brewed in our French press (we are linking our favorite from Amazon here) is ready, it is time to sit down and do some morning reflection. We like to take this time to read our devotionals and spend some time with Jesus! Our favorite devotionals are You’re Going to Make It, Devotions from the Front Porch, and The Joy of My Heart.

After our coffee and devotionals are over, it is time to get ready for a workout! Pilates or a quick run on the treadmill is a great way to get some endorphins going. As Elle Woods says, “Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy, and happy people don’t shoot their husbands (they just don’t.)” We all need a little boost of happiness in the morning and blasting our favorite workout playlist certainly adds to that joy!

Finally, after a shower, it is time for our skin prep and makeup for the day! Rollers go in the hair (a Southern girl knows that the higher the hair, the closer to the Lord), and our favorite perfume is spritzed. Our go-to scents are Mojave Ghost from Byredo and Eden Sparkling Lychee from Kayali. Last on the to-do list is to pick an outfit and we are ready to seize the day!

Having a morning routine can set the tone for your entire day and we believe it sets you up for success. Therefore, we strive to start every day off by putting our best foot forward and making ourselves and our morning routines a priority!
